The Ndu Council has emerged as the First Inclusive Council in Cameroon and has been awarded for its exceptional efforts in promoting disability inclusion, demonstrating a commitment to creating an environment where individuals with disabilities can thrive. Various initiatives, including adaptive sports and community outreach, have enhanced accessibility and understanding within the community.
Community leaders have praised the council’s proactive integration of individuals with disabilities, benefiting the entire community by promoting diversity and empathy. Partnerships with local organizations ensure that the voices of people with disabilities are heard.
This year’s celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025, themed “Innovative Solutions for Inclusive Development,” took place at the Quartier General of the Military in Yaoundé. Presided over by Madam the Minister of Social Affairs and MINPROFF, with all Generals present, the event featured various sporting activities, highlighting the importance of inclusivity.
